Planning and organising transport to ensure that customer orders are delivered on time and in full
- Provision of high-level administration of all relevant paperwork, accurately and on time and in support of the Despatch Manager, as required.
- Collection, coordination and reporting of data from the ERP systems and compliance with ERP processes
- Communicating effectively and providing positive assistance to customers and suppliers, representing the company with a positive and professional image
- Supporting the Despatch department to communicate accurate daily production and shipping schedules and advise
- Liaising with the Despatch Manager and colleagues at all levels across multiple functions, providing all relevant system documentation
- Support despatch with picking of loads from ERP systems and arranging transport
- Support the Commercial team with queries regarding sales orders despatched
- Ensuring all SOX compliance procedures are adhered to within the department
- All other duties associated with the smooth running of a Despatch office
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent at Grade C or above including English and Mathematics
- Proficiency in all Microsoft packages is essential
- GRN experience is desirable
- Experience & proficiency in ERP/MRP systems is desirable
- High level of IT skills including MS Office suite
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience working collaboratively across business functions
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily workloads
- Ability to be flexible and responsive to support business needs
