**Hours**:40 hours per week, rotating shift pattern of day and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays

**What will you be doing?**

As a Shift Plant Operator, you will report to the Shift Team Leader to ensure a safe and efficient operation of all activities on site including a waste-fried high-pressure boiler and generator.
- Assist the Shift Team Leader with the operation of the plant from a Central Control Room.
- Operate plant and equipment as required, including mobile plant and refuse crane.
- Ensure day to day compliance with all aspects of the Environmental Permit.
- Carry out routine plant inspections.
- Monitor stocks and take receipt of consumables and collections.

**What are we looking for?**
- Experience working in a continuous process environment.
- Be available for shift pattern work.
- An interest in mechanical and electrical plant with some experience of plant operations.
- Previous engineering experience would be an advantage.
