Nuclear Medicine Receptionist

The Nuclear Medicine Department is looking for a self Motivated and hard working fulltime receptionist.
You would be providing first contact for our Patients visitors and other colleagues in the trust.
We have a small friendly and caring team of clerical technical Scientific and medical staff.

1. To coordinate and book nuclear medicine tests and procedures for patients and to receive patients and their carers into the department.
2. To provide written and verbal information to patients and staff about nuclear medicine appointments and to deal with related enquiries.
3. To liaise with porters, nursing staff and transport to arrange for the safe collection and return of patients to and from the department.
4. To use the hospital’s computer system to receive information, add and update information and to print details such as appointment letters and reports.
5. To open, sort and prioritise incoming mail. To ensure paper-based records are properly filed, such as patient records as well as delivery notes and invoices. To send letters and test results out by mail.
6. To arrange for medical notes, and drugs to be delivered to the department.
7. To maintain billing records for patient procedures carried out within the department on behalf of other hospitals or for the private sector.
8. To order stationary and materials for the department and ensure adequate stocks are maintained, liaising with the purchasing department when necessary.
9. To provide clerical support to staff within the Nuclear Medicine department.
10. To maintain an organised and tidy reception area.

The Nuclear medicine Department is a friendly and welcoming team The reception team currently consists of two receptionists working part time.
The department is situated in the centrally in the main hospital.
The hospital Has good Public transport links.
