An exciting opportunity has become available in the UHNM Nuclear Medicine/ PET CT department for a Highly Specialist Healthcare Scientist/ Advanced Practitioner.

To work as a qualified Nuclear Medicine/PET practitioner, actively involved in all aspects of technical work required for imaging, non-imaging, in-vitro counting, therapeutic and radiopharmacy procedures. The post holder will work within a multidisciplinary team within Nuclear Medicine, consisting of Admin and Clerical Staff, Technologists, Nurses, Physicists and Clinicians.

The post holder will be required to support the Nuclear Medicine and PET CT Lead Technologist with delivering the PET CT service. They will be required to work without supervision and will be expected to participate in the supervision of more junior qualified and unqualified staff. The post holder may be required to work in all areas of the department and must maintain their skills and competence to do so. The post holder will also be expected to develop and drive an area of advanced practice as decided by the Lead Technologist.
