The Office Coordinator will have a responsible role and will provide excellent administrative, communication and organisational skills to ensure that the office is run effectively for the needs of all staff across the Institute. The worker should be able to build strong working relationships with senior colleagues, across the department, and with external stakeholders.

The Office Coordinator will work closely with the Director, Associate Director, Communications Officer and the members of the Management Team who are comprised of the leaders of the research groups.

The Office Coordinator will also work closely with the professional services leads in each of the research groups to keep informed of current and future research projects, and develop a learning network of staff.
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overall administrative responsibility to coordinate the office requirements for ECI staff including being first point of contact for staff, students and visitors to the Institute.
- Providing the first point of contact for general external enquiries to the Institute;
- Providing the secretarial support for the Management Group and Advisory Group (organising meetings, taking minutes, and monitoring actions)

Essential selection criteria
- Excellent and effective administrative skills with attention to detail
- Ability to develop excellent relationships with senior colleagues in the Institute, as well as with external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written form
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with a proactive and flexible approach
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office [Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams]
- Ability to be self-motivated and work independently with a minimum of supervision
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills with a pro-active approach to finding solutions
- Is committed to advancing diversity and inclusion

Desirable selection criteria
- Previous experience of working within an equivalent role within the higher education sector
- Experience of working to support a senior management team
- TSS workers accrue holiday pay that is equivalent to 38 days per year, this means you accrue a whopping 17.1% in holiday pay for the hours that you work for us._
