- Assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Turning and repositioning bedridden patients to prevent bedsores
- Assisting with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Collecting specimens for laboratory testing
- Administering medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician
- Monitoring patients' condition and reporting any changes to the healthcare team
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
