Bowel Cancer Screening Programme Admin Team Leader

We are looking for a Team Leader with previous administration experience who can provide strong leadership for a busy team of clerical and secretarial staff within the Bowel Cancer Screening programme.
You will provide a comprehensive administration service for the service whilst ensuring acceptable standards of quality and efficiency are maintained at all times.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deliver this role effectively. As part of your leadership role you are expected to show relevant attributes including the ability to lead others whilst prioritising incoming work streams.
Attention to detail is essential. You must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software with the ability to pick up computer processes / systems quickly. Ideally you will have experience managing and coordinating waiting lists along with a good knowledge of NHS waiting time targets. A flexible approach is essential as is your ability to become a key contributor to the wider admin/medical team whilst using your initiative and adapting well to change.

To support the medical and operational management and delivery of an effective service
Responsible for ensuring that the patient administration system is efficiently and appropriately used for updating patient pathways by all clerical staff in the team including the monitoring of the patient outcomes on Hive
The post holder will ensure that the team all adhere to the Trust’s Data Access and Management Policy and Data Protection legislation.
Participate in the modernisation of services; implementing actions agreed to improve services such as patient tracking systems, electronic forms and systems designed to improve the flow through clinic. This will include a role as a superuser for the HIVE system.
Supporting the deputy & programme manager to ensure clinic templates & calendars are up to date, checked and populated accordingly to the current rota and any changes actioned.
