Peel Technical are working along side an industry-leader in the supply of workplace heath and wellbeing products and services; to boost the performance of every organisation they support.

You will be working the typical office hours, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Role Specific responsibilities & tasks
- Generate purchase orders based on sales order and stock requirements
- Expedite purchase orders to ensure delivery dates and overdue orders are chased
- Maintain availability status of stock records and suggest alternatives
- Reporting of damages/short deliveries with suppliers
- Aid the buyer with sourcing pricing and product details for customer product requests
- Update supplier cost prices as required
- Maintain supplier delivery charge information
- Maintain / updated supplier information and price lists
- Liaise with suppliers regarding prices and availability
- Process customer and supplier returns following agreed procedures

Qualifications and experience:

- High attention to detail
- Highly organised
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and suppliers alike
- Ability to plan and implement tasks
- Have excellent communication skills and be confident communicator with all levels and be committed to delivering a high level of customer care
- Competent in Microsoft Office in excel
- Good time management
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain preferential pricing and terms
- Ability to interpret data to plan and make decisions
- Ensure administration and purchasing processes are completed by the team
- Demonstrates a willingness to ensure complaint purchasing in conjunction with the QARA department
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, with initiative and proactively
- Ability to work under pressure within strict season critical paths and development timeline is essential
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly and effectively

Desirable:

- Previous experience as a Junior Buyer or working with suppliers across the UK and Europe is a plus but not essential
- Experience working with purchasing EPR systems would be advantageous
- Commercially aware
