Reporting to the Community Investment Manager, the Community and Partnerships Manager will be responsible for developing a comprehensive community investment service offer for customers, including an enhanced offer in anchor neighbourhoods.

You will work with customers from across the Customer Services Directorate, including Independence and Wellbeing and Neighbourhoods, ensuring consistency of offer to anchor and non anchor neighbourhoods and aligning service delivery with the aims and objectives of the Community Investment and Sustainable Neighbourhoods strategies, as well as the guiding principles stated within the Community Investment model.

**PURPOSE OF ROLE**:

- To work in partnership with internal and external partners to benefit our customers and the communities in which we work, preventing duplication of service provision and ensure delivery inline with the Community Investment model and strategy and the Sustainable Neighbourhoods strategy.
- Use data and evidence to inform partnerships, initiatives and projects, ensuring outcomes are clearly defined and there is an evidenced need.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships, initiatives and projects, to measure the impact, understand the successes, outcomes and value of our contribution, ensuring any learning is applied in the future.
- To deliver high quality services and inline with the principles in the Service Delivery Framework.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To identify and develop effective working relationships with community and business partners, trusted partner agencies, relevant external organisations, local representatives, community groups and customers across the regional geography, ensuring outcomes delivered demonstrate delivery against the Community Investment model as well as the Sustainable Neighbourhood strategy
- To develop our core Community Investment offer to our customers and lead on identifying partnerships, initiatives and projects to increase opportunities for customers, promote awareness, address local and community need, and address broader social issues such as poverty (including child poverty), welfare reform changes, access to fuel, food and furniture, employment and training, digital, community cohesion, youth agenda, capacity building, the environment and overall neighbourhood sustainability.
- To work with trusted partners and external organisations to identify projects and monitor and evaluate these to ensure the contribution made is proportionate to percentage of stock and number of customers impacted.
- To contract manage the social value offer from contractors, ensuring contributions align with the contract awarded and the offer is maximised for the benefit of Great Places customers and communities.
- To engage in and contribute to local and regional agendas around poverty, welfare reform changes, employment and training etc.
- To map stakeholder provision and services across the regional geography, keeping accurate and up to date records of local service provision, and identifying gaps.
- To understand the measures which relate to effective service delivery, ensuring the collation and recording of accurate data which clearly demonstrates outcomes achieved and performance against corporate priorities and the principles of the Community Investment model.
- To provide information and guidance to Neighbourhood Services Manager around projects, events and initiatives in non Anchor neighbourhoods, promoting awareness of local service provision and enabling customers to access opportunities in the local area.
- To work with colleagues in the Community Investment team and across the Directorate to identify suitable participants for available opportunities or events.
- Work within the Community Investment model, focussing on delivering to purpose and adhering to the principles.
- To ensure safeguarding concerns are dealt with promptly and inline with guidelines and appropriate action is taken.

**QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS**:

- Qualified to minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths
- Relevant professional qualifications / memberships (Institute of Customer Service Qualification)

**EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:

- Experience of developing partnerships to address a range of social issues and for the benefit of communities, including but not limited tackling poverty, welfare reform changes, access to fuel, food and furniture, employment and training, digital, community cohesion, youth agenda, capacity building and the environment
- Working knowledge of issues facing social housing customers and neighbourhoods
- Ability to engage and build relationships with potential or trusted partner agencies or organisations, developing appropriate contacts and future networking opportunities
- Experience of contract and / or project management
- Knowledge of welfare benefits system and challenges faced by customers
- Experience of using coaching techniques to help customers identify actions and solutions for themselves, promoting and maximising independence
- Experience of data gathering and recording
- Experience and understanding of safeguarding
- Experience of working in a continuous improvement culture and willingness to embrace change
