We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Compliance. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that XMA operates within strict boundaries of regulatory and ethical requirements to help meet all standards that govern the business,including International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) regulations, Health and Safety, Environmental, HR and Information Security.

LOCATION: Nottingham - hybrid 2 days in the office per week. We will also consider someone who lives further afield and will pay hotel expenses for weekly visits to the Nottingham office.

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Cambridgeshire.

JOB SPECIFICATION:
As part of this role you will own and develop a proportionate risk-based compliance monitoring program, as well as conducting regular audits and reviews to ensure execution of compliance standards.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Conducting interviews, scrutinise details and ask questions to make sure employees make every effort to stay compliant across the Business Units at XMA.
- When compliance problems arise, conduct investigations to discover the roots of the issue and using common sense, experience and an in-depth knowledge of products, market and risk tolerance, deliver clear, consistent and practical advice.
- Stay informed about regulatory, environmental, ethical, HR and financial standards and makes sure XMA operates within those standards.
- Work with the Quality Assurance Manager to develop and implement practical, accessible policies, procedures and controls.
- Take ownership of incoming and outgoing compliance due diligence assessments, to and from key potential partners, suppliers and customers including those required during a bidding or preferred partner process.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
This role will suit someone who is a Compliance leader, who is both knowledgeable about and comfortable working with ISO accreditations, experienced in presenting to C-Level Directors on a quarterly basis and has a background of running compliance risk registers.

Additionally, you will also have experience and skills in the following:

- Experience as a Compliance Lead in a commercial role and management of a team.
- Knowledge and practical experience of interpreting legislation and statutory instruments that govern the main areas of a commercial business.
- Knowledge and practical experience of introducing and maintaining compliance standards including ISO, COSHH, CHAS, Cyber Essentials including financial and strategic processes and how they are implemented, managed and analysed in a business.
