Employ.ed on Campus internships are ONLY open to 2nd year to penultimate year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh based in the UK. You cannot take part if you are a visiting student, or you have already taken part in the programme before.

We are looking for an individual interested in the development of laboratory safety and sustainability resources in the School of Chemistry. This position will involve collaborative working and visits to our EaStCHEM partner School of Chemistry in St. Andrews.

**The Opportunity**:
This post offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience and support laboratory safety and sustainability practices across the School of Chemistry’s teaching and research laboratories, workshops, Stores and academic workspaces. The post holder will be required to research existing good practice and develop guides, videos, posters and online materials to help maintain and enhance the School’s high standards of safety and explore new opportunities for laboratory sustainability. The post-holder will also involve working with another intern who will be undertaking other activities aligning with the School’s sustainability aims.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working, however, the vast majority of the work will require working on site.
