Senior Children's Residential Support Worker

Our warm and nurturing residential home for young people aged 7-18 with learning disabilities and complex needs based in Rugeley, Staffordshire are seeking an experienced individual to join our small and friendly team as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker.
We provide our young people with a safe and secure haven where they can relax and learn valuable life skills to ensure a smooth transition to adulthood, your role will be pivotal to the smooth running of the home, the team will look to you for support and guidance daily so you must be confident in decision making and have excellent communication skills.
Day to day your role will include ensuring all paperwork is up to date, ensure young people's care plans are kept up to date, supporting the Registered Manager to achieve the objectives set out in the home's statement of purpose.
You will also work directly with the young people to support them to achieve and grow.
Ideally you will currently be completing some Senior tasks, but we are also happy to hear from applicants with experience in Residential Care with children and looking to step up. A Level 3 qualification would also be desirable for this position and a full UK driving licence.
Shifts will be 24 hours and consist of an early, late and sleep combined. You would be expected to complete up to 10 per month and starting salary would be £12.75 per hour (plus £60 bonus per completed sleep shift).
