The Administrative Assistant Receptionist will work with the Practice Manager / Senior Nurse or Chief Clerk based within the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). The post holder must be versatile with duties to include running/manning the reception when directed, maintaining data on Defence
Management Information Capability Programme (DMICP) managing General Practitioner (GP links), answering telephone queries, managing hospital appointments via the e-Referral (electronic) system, appropriately managing incoming and outgoing mail, scanning and other areas of administration as directed.

As the Administrative Assistant Receptionist, the post holder will have a major impact in promoting a positive image of the Medical Facility to patients and other users.

**Person specification**:
Main details of the role include but are not limited to:

- Maintaining patient and staff confidentiality in accordance with Patient Confidentiality and Staff Confidentiality Protocols. To sign a copy of the former which lists Caldicott Principles; this copy is to be held by the Practice Manager (PM).
- Receptionist duties - First point of contact with patients and other Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) users, booking appointments, answering telephones and face to face queries.
- Supporting GPs/ANP (Advanced Nursing Practitioners) in the process of e referrals, following local protocol.
- Managing GP links for dependants including; Filing medical paperwork and Form FP5Bs (Lloyd George’s) as required ensuring that they are folded and sorted correctly as per Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) protocols.

**Selection process details**:
