We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Fundraising Planning Lead. We are looking for you to be responsible for leading the Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement directorate’s successful transformation and operations planning processes by matrix managing a wide group of delivery teams to align to the priorities of the directorate and the charity.

What will I be doing?- Lead the business planning process across MFE to effectively align plans and priorities across MFE and our partner teams in other directorates. Includes leading the annual operational planning process, enabling functions across MFE and our critical partners in other directorates (e.g. Technology) to align their annual operating plans, focused on delivery of our strategic priorities- Lead and embed changes to business planning in MFE and partner teams, including running agile quarterly planning, to enable teams to focus their priorities for the upcoming quarter, and adapt their plans as required- Liaising with Finance to ensure that operational and financial planning are aligned across MFE to ensure financial plans are well managed- Leading a matrix team of function-level Planning leads in MFE, creating a strong and collaborative community of practice that delivers efficient and effective planning and prioritisation solutions and facilitates the effective alignment of plans across the directorate- Oversee communications and engagement to ensure a clear view of business objectives, targets and priorities (e.g. product priorities) are understood and acted on across MFE and our partners in other directorates- Leading MFE’s contribution to the corporate planning process to align timescales, requirements and responses needed to support the CRUK wide plan-
What skills are you looking for?- Significant experience of operational planning and project/programme management- Significant experience and knowledge of operational planning and prioritisation tools, methodologies and best practice (e.g. use of OKRs, agile methodologies etc)- Significant experience building collaborative and effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leaders- Adept at working in a highly matrixed environment with the ability to drive consensus around resource requirements- Proven ability to work within a complex and ambiguous environment, ensuring speedy decision-making and timely resolution of issues- High level of drive, enthusiasm and confidence, with the ability to empower and motivate team members and colleagues- Highly organised with a good understanding of project management principles/best practice- A proven commitment to continuous performance improvement and the capability to lead change and drive new ways of working- A confident decision-maker who can use their own initiative to work autonomously- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to communicate with impact to senior stakeholders- A keen attention to detail.
