POST: Human Resources/Recruitment Officer (Full time, 36 hours per week, through the year)

REPORTING TO: HR Manager Job Summary Assisting with all functions of the Human Resources department. Assisting with the monthly payroll. Organising and reporting on staff CPD/training and leading on the College appraisal scheme and Probationary. Managing the staff recruitment process to include sitting on shortlisting and interview panels and producing contracts of employment. Maintaining staff records and producing reports using the computerised HR system and responding to external surveys.

Main Activities

1. Taking responsibility for cross-college support staff training, including organising both in-house and external support staff training as required.

2. In liaison with the Head of Quality, making arrangements for in-house staff training events, taking registers and following-up non-attendance. Producing reports as required.

3. Leading on the College appraisal system ensuring that all reviews are carried out and that individual developmental needs are identified and actioned.

4. Organising the induction programme for all new members of staff and carrying out the HR induction.

6. Marketing and advertising jobs roles externally via University job boards

7. Assisting with the recruitment of VHL and agency staff/ Attending job fairs at universities

8. Inputting and maintaining data on the HR computerised system and producing reports as required.

9. Taking responsibility for the maintenance of the DBS Central Record.

10. Maintaining and updating the Single Central Record

11. Completing external surveys and compiling statistics for the department, including staff turnover and sickness absence data.

12. Creating staff reports for SLT

13. Managing HR civica recruitment portal

14. Assisting with HR casework to include probationary, grievances, capability and disciplinary issues.

15. Attending internal meetings such as Equality & Diversity, Staff Focus Group and Health & Safety as required.

16. Assisting with staff absence and arranging cover

17. Dealing with all HR related queries

19. Leading on staff reward and recognition

20. Taking personal responsibility for supporting, promoting and following all College policies in relation to health and safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity and data protection within the scope of the post.

**Salary**: £27,156.00-£29,237.00 per year
