Community Integrated Care is one of the **UK’s largest health and social care charities**. We work hard to enriching the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.
Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of **‘Your Life, Your Choice’** and our strategy **‘Best Lives Possible’.**
We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over 100 national and regional awards
We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by **investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development.** We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.
**Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role**:
We are different in lots of ways (that’s what makes us so interesting) with our ages ranging between 80 to 43.
All 5 of us require 2-1 support with moving and positioning and to attend to our personal care needs. We require physical assistance to get around our home and when out and about. We each have different challenges in our lives which include Visual impairment, Epilepsy, Parkinson’s, Dysphagia, PEG & Catheter care, Palliative/End of Life, Autism and Learning disabilities. We have a staff team who are all trained and familiar with supporting someone with similar needs.
What is important to us
We enjoy outdoor activities, including, shopping, cinema, going to concerts, bowling, local walks, going to the pub, museum’s, Disco’s, going for food and to the pantomime.
Other interests we have are listening to music, baking, arts and crafts and spending time in our home made sensory room.
We are fun loving, kind, caring, considerate, respectful of other people’s personal space and belongings and have a love of music and comedy.
We would not enjoy spending time with people who are bossy, pushy, running around, shouting or very noisy as it would tend to make a few of us upset.
We also do not like people ignoring us, talking about us rather than to us and not giving us choices.
Our Home
Is a 5 bedroomed Bungalow. There is a large garden with delicious apple & pear trees which goes right around the bungalow which is fantastic to use in the summer. There is shared space in the home where we can eat together, spend time watching tv, or relax these spaces include the lounge, the kitchen, the sensory room & conservatory. The property is in a quiet estate with friendly neighbours. There is parking available as we have our own drive attached to the property. It is very important if you are coming to our home that you park on the drive and do not block the driveways of our neighbour’s.
Other information
There is always at least 4 colleagues on shift during the day and 3 at night.
We like our staff to work Mornings 8am to 3pm, Afternoon 3pm to 10pm or all day 8am to 10pm and Nights 10pm to 8am.
In order to support us to have the Best Life Possible our team have specialist training in Moving & Positioning, Administration of Medication, Epilepsy, Dysphagia, End of Life, Autism and Learning Disabilities
**Your values**:
What essential skills and experience is needed for the role?
Naturally it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care
