To develop knowledge of the various Terms and Conditions of Service for medical and dental staff in order to provide accurate advice to staff and managers.

To provide recruitment and selection advice on the recruitment of all grades of medical and dental staff, and provide guidance and support to managers whilst ensuring best practice and compliance with Trust and legislative requirements.

To work with the Medical HR Officer to ensure that pre-employment checks for rotational trainees are completed in a timely manner and liaise with the medical education team to ensure a smooth induction process.

To support the Medical HR Officer in proactively managing recruitment to non-training medical and dental posts; specifically where gaps exist in training rotations, SAS doctors and Locum Consultants.

Band 4(Consideration would be given to appointing to post at AFC 3 for applicants not already having gained a level 3 CIPD qualification).

Adhere to the Trusts Recruitment & Selection Policy and Employment Checks Procedure when dealing with recruitment to advertised posts and appointments and ensure that the Trust’s policy is followed.

To use available systems to support the delivery of an efficient HR service:
ESR
- To record vacancies to allow transfer of data between ESR and NHS Jobs
- Accurate input of starters / changes / leaver information to ensure timely payroll processing, linking in with audit requirements. To ensure contract amendment or relevant correspondence is issued to the employee in a timely manner
- To ensure employee information on ESR remains accurate, up-to-date

NHS Jobs
- Accurate posting of vacancy information
- Engagement with shortlisting, interviewing and pre-employment check processes

To ensure that any pay queries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner, liaising with payroll and pensions departments as necessary.

To check NHS Purchasing Card invoices received in respect of Tier 2 sponsorships generated. To code to appropriate CBUs and forward for authorisation.

The jobholder must comply at all times with Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Health and Safety policies, in particular by following agreed safe working procedures and reporting incidents using the Trust’s Risk Incident Reporting System.
