Based in our London office, this role will be focussed on leading the Data team to implement a data strategy across the organisation to enable data-led ways of working and thinking.

This role will work collaboratively with other teams to support Reed.co.uk in executing its strategic aims, with particular focus on helping the organisation leverage its vast data set to drive tangible value to its users. This is a hands-on management rolesuited to an evangelical and highly skilled data leader who can lead by example and can transform data into compelling stories and tangible value.

**Key Responsibilities**
- As Director of Data at Reed.co.uk, you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team and will represent data at senior level
- You will work with the business to create, own and deliver an ambitious data strategy for Reed.co.uk
- You will work with the Senior Leadership Team to create end-to-end data solutions to support growth opportunities
- You will drive data infrastructure, analysis and data processes across the organisation, with a focus on prioritising data in**every** decision and training the organisation to think similarly
- Lead efforts that deliver data-driven solutions, including the development and deployment of Machine Learning / Statistical Learning models for real-time or near-real-time business decision-making
- Support a variety of data stacks and organisational structures, including event streaming and ELT paradigms
- Lead a team of data and business intelligence analysts across various functions
- Design, build and launch new data models and data pipelines
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to understand where improvements can be made (long and short term) to develop and execute on services around data
- Currently our data is coming from many sources, and it is not uniform. We have various Warehouses, Data pipes, BI reporting tools. It’s grown organically and is now due for overhaul. The governance and regulations are in place, but on the Data Architecturestructure, process and guidance need to be implemented

**Skills and Experience**
- You have 5 years plus experience leading Data Science projects in a commercial context
- You have built, developed and maintained complex models and algorithms
- Your clear manner to present and deliver complex insight to a range of audiences will be paramount.
- Strong stakeholder management ability, highly experienced in delivering pro-active value-added insights to client stakeholders from managers, creatives to C-suite
- Deep statistical background or data mining experience
- Experience in informing MVT experiment ideas, configuring, measuring and presenting compelling insights from results.
- Strong familiarity implementing and using optimisation and targeting tools, such as Adobe Target, Google Website Optimizer/Optimise 360, Optimizely and others.
- Strong familiarity with digital analytics tools, such as Omniture Site Catalyst (Adobe Marketing Cloud - AA, AAM), Google Analytics, WebTrends, and others.
- Competent and experienced in the use of SQL and BigData wrangling.
- Understanding of search, audience intelligence, social analytics and social analytical tools i.e. radian 6, SimilarWeb, GlobalWebIndex etc
- Ability to build segmentation strategies and audience frameworks based on quantitative, qualitative and behavioural research.
- Ensure familiarity with any changes to legislation, recommending and implementing changes in how we operate, where appropriate
- Maintain and improve a data privacy impact assessment framework and facilitate an assessment to advise on privacy risks and suggested mitigations
