We have a creative and passionate workforce that design, build, manage and install, outstanding exhibitions for some of the UK & Europe’s largest names. We are looking for our next like-minded individual, whose drive and determination will help us meet the growing demand from our valued customers.

**Main purpose of job**:
The **Procurement & Stock Manager** will be tasked with supporting managers and senior team members, purchase products and services from a range of exhibition suppliers. You will help us manage our costs, provide analysis and reports on effective spending and potential cost-saving initiatives. In addition, the role involves working closely with our Production and Installation Manager to effectively control our inventory, including exhibition rental stock and client’ assets, all stored within our on-site warehouse. Collaborative working and constant communication will be key to success, liaising continuously with our Installation/Build Teams, office-based Designers and Project Managers.

This role will usually involve standard office hours, but the Exhibition and Events industry can include some evenings & weekends, and especially during our peak periods. We offer time off in-lieu, well-planned scheduling, and diary management, but some flexibility in the role may be required.

**Main tasks of the job**:
**Procurement**:

- Purchasing - Responsible for making purchases on-behalf of and under the guidance of direct management, and other office-based colleagues.
- Suppliers - Liaising with and managing our supplier relationships, providing ideas and guidance for potential cost-saving opportunities.
- CRM System - Update our platforms with deliveries for stock/hire items and effective management of client’ assets.
- Report Generation - inputting accurate data to help support reviews of both Damn Good & client’ asset shortages.
- Purchasing Systems - Use of ApprovalMax to raise POs for effective tracking and order confirmation.

**Stock Management**:

- Stock - support our Production & Installation Manager to effectively track and monitor Damn Good inventory, Exhibition and Hire stock, Client Assets, and the management of warehouse storage.
- Inventory - Help the team provide accurate inventory and stock lists, exploring options for improved collaboration with other departments and implementation of more digital efficiencies, including new Bar Code Systems.
- Quality Checking - Management of Damn Good and Client Assets, working with the production department to ensure assets are quality checked, maintained, quarantined, and booked in for repairs where required to ensure availably for future events.
- Packaging & Storage Solutions - Ensuring our packaging and storage solutions are constantly reviewed, sourcing the best suppliers based on both cost and quality.

**Stakeholder Management**:
Internal
- Team Collaboration - working with our Production & Installation Manager, Design and Project Management teams to fully understand our purchasing requirements, providing timely delivery of the required products and exhibition services.
- Performance and Self-Management - work with your manager and directors to fully understand both the requirements and scope of the role, suggesting areas for improvement and any self-development/training needs.
- Working with our Directors - close-collaboration to effectively plan, help to problem-solve and deliver successful exhibition projects, whilst providing updates on progress and any additional requirements.

External
- Supplier Management and Procurement - maintain professional comms with all suppliers to help us maintain strong working relationships.
- Place accurate orders - ensuring timely delivery of required goods and services.
- Research - explore and approach alternative suppliers, obtaining improved pricing and intelligence for better products and services.

**Essential skills**:
A minimum of 2-3 years previous office experience, working in a fast-paced environment.

IT Skills and Literacy - A proficient user of Microsoft (or equivalent) product suite and tools i.e. MS Teams, Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Prior experience of Purchasing/Buying a variety of different products and services

Stock Management - previous experience of stock/storage management, utilising digital tools and platform(s), CRM Database.

Strong verbal and written communication skills - being able to work with all manner of different suppliers, partners, and internal colleagues, with the ability to read and adapt to different situations.

A friendly, fun outlook on life and certainly up for a challenge

**Desirable skills**:
Previous experience within the Exhibitions and Events industry could be considered desirable but not essential.
