We are looking for additional support in our Bakery team in ensuring we are delivering a great customer experience by creating great baked goods

We are looking for people who are able to assist with the baking, so if you are more experienced in baking, are comfortable operating independently and taking ownership of your work then get in touch. Ideally you'll have previous experience of working in a bakery (or similar environment) and in supervising or managing others.

You’ll also help maintaining our standards around food hygiene, so checking the fridges and freezers on a daily basis..

Known for our creams, vanilla slices, tray bakes and loaf cakes, we are looking for someone who is confident in a bakery, weighing up, using bakery equipment including spiral and planetary mixers, depositing cake mix, topping & decorating and piping of creams onto tarts, eclairs, scones and other cakes.

The Bakery start work at 6am and finish at 4:30pm, and our teams work together to help deliver the tastiest treats to our restaurants and shop floor in high volumes.

We are currently looking at hiring two people, offering both full time or part time positions. These roles include alternating weekend work.

So what do we need from you?

The ideal Baker is someone who:

- Has previous experience working in a bakery or similar culinary setting.
- Can use mixers including spiral mixers and planetary mixers or confident with similar mixers
- Has great attention to detail
- Is passionate about food
- Is highly organised and motivated.
- Is friendly and enjoys being part of a team.
- Can prepare, cook and produce a high level of consistency (including presentation, quality and portion control), and timeliness in order to minimise customer complaints.
- Looks for ways to minimise waste by using the appropriate production methods and controls.
- Builds strong collaborative working relationships with fellow colleagues both inside and outside of the bakery.
- Ensures that all products are date checked, temperature checks are performed to plan, stock is rotated and the kitchen delivers against its Retail and EHO/Food Hygiene Standards.
- Maintains the kitchen, floors, preparation areas, equipment, utensils, food preparation equipment to the cleaning and hygiene standards.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: £9.90-£10.90 per hour
