**Job summary**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our pharmacy team for a Senior Pharmacy Administrator. The Senior Administrator supports the smooth running of the Pharmacy Department with a responsibility for co-ordinating and overseeing the administration functions of the department and providing supervisory support of administrator(s) within the department as appropriate.

They are required to provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative support service to the Chief Pharmacist and Pharmacy Senior Management team based at Heartlands hospital. The post-holder needs to be able to have knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft office or equivalent and demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy to allow the completion of tasks, such as, the recording of information in staff pay, sickness absence and annual leave.

A need for the post-holder to review, develop and control administrative systems to assist the Pharmacy Operations and Performance Manager and Clinical Operations Lead on-site.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
The post holder will provide a comprehensive senior administration service and will work in conjunction with colleagues, service users and stakeholders to provide an efficient service. They will be responsible for the day to day training, supervision and allocation of work of the Pharmacy Administrator(s).

The post holder will exercise initiative and judgement using acquired skills and knowledge, maintaining confidentiality at all times. They will undertake work using own initiative, without direct supervision and to tight deadlines, in order to achieve Trust standard and targets and KPIs.

Good General Education (e.g. GCSE English and Maths A-C/ 4-9 or equivalent)

RSA level II or equivalent experience

Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment

Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience

Experience of working in a Secretarial/ Administrative role with a proven track record of problem solving

Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook)

Knowledge of dealing with non routine issues such as problem solving for an area of work

Full understanding of Information Governance and Patient Confidentiality
