We now have an exciting opportunity for an Independent Health & Safety Reviewer who will support Cognita.

**About the role**

Key Responsibilities will include, (but not limited to):

- Undertake Health & Safety reviews and monitoring visits in line with an agreed deployment schedule.
- Review practice against the agreed framework in a professional and consultative manner, taking account of local context.
- Write evidence-based reports which are of a high standard.
- Ensure that reviews are conducted in an open and transparent manner.
- Identify effective Health & Safety practice.
- Escalate risks and/or concerns, providing a written account of all relevant information and evidence.

**Who we are looking for**:
To be considered for this role you will be a Chartered Member of IOSH and have educational sector experience alongside an understanding of facilities-based compliance. We would also expect;
- An ability to understand cultural differences towards compliance, in a global setting.
- An interest or experience in understanding the general principles of international health and safety legislation
- Ability to work flexibly to ensure appropriate site cover is maintained during and beyond the school day
