Management Accountant

We have a great opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a company based in Feltham on an interim basis for at least 12 months. An experienced and hands on approach is required in this busy, fast paced environment along with the desire to improveprocesses and procedures. A competitive rate of pay is on offer along with a hybrid working pattern.
**Responsibilities**:
- Monthly accounting close and variance analysis - accurate business entity reporting in line with agreed timelines
- Ownership of one or more process or functional areas (e.g. Rebates, Marketing etc)
- Entity ownership for one of more entities within the Group
- Ensuring completeness of entity balance sheets with full reconciliations of designated balance sheet accounts
- Liaising with external auditors to support the resolution of accounting and reporting issues and completion of audit processes
- Support the External Reporting Manager in the production of statutory accounts and tax filings
- Adherence to key policies and working with the Internal Reporting Manager to ensure these are maintained:
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation Policy
- Journal Entry Policy
- Intercompany Policy
- Group Accounting Policy (with External Reporting Manager)
- Building and maintaining an effective control environment around the Group accounting processes, ensuring integrity of the financial data
- Improvement of system processes and documentation
- VAT and PSA returns and compliance
- Completeness of month end journals and data integrity.
- Provide ad-hoc commercial and financial support to the Business Unit finance teams and other key stakeholders
**Requirements**:
- Qualified/part-qualified Accountant required
- Previous experience of balance sheet reconciliation and ownership
- Experience of working in a similar sized (or larger) organisation
- Ability to plan, prioritise and manage work in a fast paced environment
- A resilient individual, who can demonstrate flexibility in approach and thinking to get the job done
- Attention to detail and accuracy even under pressure
- Deadline driven
- Systems: Strong Excel skills
