Vacancy - Internal Sales / Branch Assistant

Location - Brentwood, Essex

Industry - Electrical Wholesale

Hours - Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm - no weekends

Salary - up to circa £35K depending on experience + bonus

Our client is looking for a good all rounder with some electrical wholesale experience to join their team.

You will be working in telephone sales (both proactive and reactive) responding to telephone enquiries, following up on sales, providing quotations, serving customers on the trade counter and working in the stores. You may also be required to do occasional deliveries to customers using a company vehicle.

**Responsibilities**:
Telephone sales - reactive and proactive telephone sales

Assisting customers at the trade counter providing an efficient and knowledgeable service

Ensuring that the needs of the customers are dealt with as well as adhering to company Health and Safety requirements

Handling incoming phone calls and Trade Counter enquiries

Processing orders and quotes using the company systems

Sourcing products and placing the relevant orders

Building, developing and managing relationships with customers

Ensuring all records, systems and paperwork are kept up-to-date

You will also help ensure that the stock and stores area are well organised

Ad hoc deliveries to cover the driver when they are on annual leave or away from the business

Skills & Experience needed?

Some general Electrical sales knowledge and experience

Proactive and motivated person

Manage, meet and exceed customer expectations

The ability to build relationships with a variety of customers

Have worked on the trade counter or in telephone sales previously in an electrical wholesale environment

Good telephone manner

Enjoys sales and organising the warehouse

Friendly, articulate, customer focused

Experience within an electrical wholesaler is essential, recent experience is advantageous

Full UK driving licence
