An exciting opportunity has become available for an Income Officer to join a National Charity. This position is full time, Monday - Friday and you will be working from home

This is a role well suited to someone who has effective negotiation skills and the ability to manage business and customer requirements to a mutually agreeable solution. You will be calm, resilient and able to manage difficult conversations.

They are looking for someone who has experience of working in housing management or has experience within an income related environment.

You will demonstrate their values by bringing your best by working effectively with other teams, and alongside team members to ensure a consistent approach to debt management.

Income Officer Requirements:

- Identifying accounts of concern and discussing with local team
- Agreeing an action plan dependant on the needs of each team e.g full staffed or not, need help to complete tasks
- Drafting Discretionary Housing Payment letters
- Completed HB appeals/late reconsideration/backdates
- Send arrears warnings with statements
- Offer budget plan
- Contact the service user to offer a suitable repayment plan
- Send pre-notice letter
- Ensure pre-action protocol adhered to e.g Equality Act Note
- Draft landlord notice
- Keep rent system updated with help attempted
- Ensure client Invited to formal arrears meeting with Service Lead and NOK or multi-agency meeting
- Experience within PRS rent, leasehold and shared ownership.
- Experienced in tracking & monitoring debt recovery action.
