Derby, United Kingdom Futures Housing Group Full time

**ENABLING FUTURES**

We’re on the hunt for an Income Officer to join our busy income team on our mission to deliver ‘Great Places’, 'Great Services’, and ‘Great Tomorrows’.

Your primary responsibility will be managing rent arrears, and proactively preventing debts from occurring or escalating.

You’ll follow set policies and procedures, whilst assessing individual customers’ situations and needs to identify ways of adapting our services in order to achieve the best outcome.

You’ll be able to demonstrate a customer-focussed attitude, the ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise your own work effectively, along with the desire to continuously improve the service.

You’ll also need strong communication skills and the confidence to represent Futures at court and evictions. Due to the nature of the role a sound knowledge of the benefits system is desirable.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work are essential as our service covers the Daventry and Amber Valley areas so travel will be required.

**A few key points from our role profile**
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, and internal and external partners such as local authorities and the DWP to develop a seamless approach to customer service.
- Liaise with customers and partners to proactively prevent debts occurring or escalating.
- Follow the relevant processes and procedures in order to recover debts due to the organisation, ensuring that any legal action taken is appropriate and timely.
- Represent the organisation at Court and Evictions.

**Futures who?**

We’re a highly successful, independent, not-for-profit organisation providing homes and support for thousands of people across the Midlands. Our motto is ‘Great places, great services, great tomorrows’. We’re an Investors in People Platinum employer and our people tell us they love working here.

**What we’ll do for you**

If you’re successful, you’ll be joining a dynamic organisation with an amazing culture. We offer competitive benefits that include private healthcare options, mileage, agile working, a fantastic pension scheme, discount schemes and with a big emphasis on health and well-being.

You’ll also have great opportunities to grow and develop, personally and professionally, but the greatest reward will be knowing you’re helping people and communities across our region to thrive.

Futures is a great place to work with a fantastic, positive and 'can do' culture supporting our people to deliver fantastic results. Every one of our team members is helping us achieve our vision of 'Great places, great services and great tomorrows' for people and communities across the East Midlands. We don't just provide homes - we support our customers, helping them to thrive and to achieve this we all need to thrive in our jobs too. So, we invest in our people to give them the skills, the tools and the flexibility to do a great job.
