We have two temporary opportunities available to join the Vulnerability Assessment Team as a Research and Report Officer where you will work within the core of multi-agency working, managing risk, and safeguarding the most vulnerable members of our society.

**A little bit about us**

The Vulnerability Assessment Team (VAT) provide a single point of contact for safeguarding concerns across York and North Yorkshire. The work of the team is critical in the multi-agency response to protect children and vulnerable adults from abuse. The Research and Report Team work as part of the VAT and are responsible for responding to requests from partner agencies for Police information and compiling reports for multi-agency safeguarding meetings across the Force area.

As Research and Report Officer you will be responsible for the data mining of all police information systems, decision-making in relation to information sharing, as well as producing reports for key multi-agency meetings. Crucial to the role is the ability to understand and process information, in addition to providing essential support on key policing operations, such as searching computer databases.

The nature of the work is very sensitive and attention to detail is vital in all areas. As such, previous experience of working in an administrative role within a sensitive and confidential environment would be desirable.
- Be committed to delivering a high level of service with the ability to work as part of a team as well as under their own initiative.
- Manage their time effectively to meet specific deadlines, whilst always maintaining accuracy and quality of data.
- Be able to collate, review and disseminate information from a range of sources.
- Have a passion for communicating with a range of diverse customers across a variety of platforms and enjoy building and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Be talented in using various IT systems including Microsoft Office.
- Be adaptable and resourceful with a keen eye for detail.
