Our advanced manufacturing site in Telford, is one of our main processing facilities, processing up to 1.5 million birds per week. There are over 1,200 talented people employed at our Telford site, helping us to deliver high quality products to our customers and making the business a trusted leader in fresh foods.

We’ve recently invested £2.3 million in technology and equipment, making it one of the most advanced food manufacturing facilities in the UK.

**About the Role**:

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our planning across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated **Planning Coordinator** to join our Team, based at our Telford site.

The role is office based, so you’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf life products where hygiene standards are critical_. _As **Planning Coordinator** you’ll be working:

- Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 16:00

**What will your key responsibilities as Planning Coordinator include?**
- Ensure production plans are prepared, updated and communicated in a timely manner.
- Provide support on planning raw material movement between the Avara sites.
- Assist production schedulers in answering calls and completing administrative tasks.
- Deputise for Production Planner.
- Provide holiday cover for different roles within the planning department, which may involve working shifts, weekends, and supporting other sites.
- Frequently review stocks of finished goods and compare against upcoming orders.
- Short-term material management and utilisation including WIP management.

**What you’ll need to be successful**:

- Effective communication skills.
- Understanding of business requirements and ability to be flexible around the site operations.
- A logical thinker with good numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to solve problems proactively.
- Ability to maintain and update excel spreadsheets.
- Good IT standards and basic knowledge of MS package.
