Our client provides services for NHS CCGs, NHS Trusts and FoundationTrusts, and other providers of NHS-funded services, caring for more than 120,000 patients a year in more than 23 services across England.

THE ROLE

Essentially the Theatre Lead / Theatre Manager will be asked to "own" the management process of the theatre specialising in ophthalmic surgical procedures. Including but not limited to cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment and YAG Laser Surgery. The roleincluded management of other scrubs, clinical ordering, clinical / staff training and quality compliance - functions to include:

- Manage all the theatre processes and activity effectively, efficiently, and collaboratively.
- Have responsibility for performance in areas of key resources. Performance judged on efficiency, effectiveness, and economy.
- Initiate, establish and develop new services within the department when required, in line with strategic aims of the organisation.
- Facilitate optimum patient flow throughout theatre through coordination between unit leadership staff and staffing office
- Demonstrate growth and development in clinical and management skills through an ongoing process of education, training to maintain clinical and managerial competencies.
- Be responsible for the work force profile, ensuring that the team and individuals are evolving through setting of standards, monitoring of competencies and feedback on performance.
- Evaluate, develops and coordinates implementation and revision of core standards of care, policies, and SOPs.
- Play an active role in the senior management team of the clinic, and to act as a resource when required to develop best practice. To communicate at various levels to enhance the reputation of the theatre and clinic.

THE PERSON
- Must have Theatre Scrub skills preferably Ophthalmology
- Have held a Managerial Position able to manage people
- Personality is vital - can do attitude and able to demonstrate a commercial mindset
- Good work Ethic and can use their own initiative
- IT Skills
- Up to date Registration
