We are excited to introduce a new and impactful service that aims to support individuals accessing the Integrated Offender Management (IOM) Scheme, as well as children and young people aged 10-17 years who are vulnerable, at risk, or involved in serious violent crime, along with their immediate families. This role will cover the Northumbria Police Force areas.
- As a Community Outreach Worker at Humankind, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive wrap-around support to individuals accessing the IOM scheme. Your main responsibility will be to motivate and encourage these individuals to work with specialist services, helping them make positive changes and reducing the likelihood of reoffending.
- Additionally, as part of our commitment to the Youth Violence Intervention Service, you will be included in a rota system. Once every five weeks, you will work within the Newcastle RVI and Sunderland Royal Hospital, engaging with young people who have been admitted to the emergency departments due to incidents of violence.**Check out the Community Outreach Worker job description and person specification.**
