We are seeking to appoint a Facilities Operative to join out facilities team, to ensure that the buildings and grounds are maintained in a well-presented and safe condition, providing a suitable environment for the teaching and learning of pupils.

Reporting to the Head Caretaker, you will have a meticulous and diligent approach to work with high standards and be an energetic, enthusiastic person, who has a range of practical skills. The role will also involve liaising with the Director of Sport regarding grounds preparation for sport at the King Edward VI School site.

You will work within the Facilities team on caretaking, maintenance, small projects and grounds. You will regularly work across all school sites and must be able to demonstrate a flexible attitude to working across the team specialities. You will ideally be able to demonstrate a good knowledge and practical ability in working across a range of sports surfaces, grounds maintenance tasks and using machinery, although full training will be provided.

You will have the ability to work well as part of a team but also to work independently and have the ability to use your initiative.
