**Job title**: Commercial Sales Executive

**Salary**: £25,500-£29,000 per year (pro-rata)

Estimated £12,000 OTE (pro-rata)

Londonist is hiring an experienced, driven, and proactive Commercial Sales Executive to develop and maintain relationships with clients to generate commercial revenues and achieve financial targets. We require applicants to be based in the UK, have the rightto work in the UK, and if working remotely, are able to travel to London occasionally.

As a Commercial Sales Executive, you will be an integral part of the Commercial Team and will be able to initiate, and manage discussions and sell advertising solutions across all channels to potential clients and agencies in line with the company's advertisingstrategy.

**Key responsibilities and tasks include**:

- Identifying and contacting new business clients for advertising opportunities.
- Be proactive and consistent with lead generation in order to supply new contacts.
- Leading and growing relationships with the aim of developing revenue streams.
- Comfortably and efficiently handle agency contact relationships.
- Manage both existing and new accounts with a high degree of professionalism and organisation.
- Create and suggest relevant products to ensure advertising campaigns are successful wherever possible.
- Maintain up-to-date communication and booking records via relevant sales management systems.
- Working closely with the Commercial Team to track sales cycles, trends, and opportunities.
- Identify and explore new markets relevant to the business.
- Provide updates on activity and projected sales to the Head of Business Development.
- Prepare and lead client meetings.
- Be able to work within a team, but also independently and proactively.

**Skills required**:

- Previous sales experience preferred.
- Strong organisation and self-motivation, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
- Fluency in English and excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Professional approach to client interaction and deadlines to build trust and forge good relationships.
- Understand the difference between independent clients and agency clients, and manage relationships accordingly.
- High level of interpersonal skills, confidence in negotiating, and strong commercial awareness.
- Be able to execute the entire sales process from initial contact through to closure.
- Managing revenue streams and pipelines in both the short and long term, to keep a steady revenue flow.
- Meeting and exceeding targets through repeat business, upselling to clients, and expanding into new markets.
