**The Team**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Member Communications Associate to join our Workplace Investing Member Communications team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract/Internal Secondment. Reporting to the Head of Member Communications the Member CommunicationsAssociate will play a vital role in ensuring we deliver our member communications strategy.

**The Role**

The role holder will be responsible for supporting the Member Communications Managers to deliver tailored communication programmes to meet client needs and ensure efficient collateral development/production is undertaken as well as a key focus on deliveryof the agreed governance model.

**Key responsibilities**

Development of communication programmes
- Working with the Member Communications Manager, create tailored communication programmes to meet the client’s needs.
- Manage and deliver multiple communication updates for clients through the lifetime of their scheme eg. fund changes
- Occasionally accompany MCM to client visits such as governance meetings
- Occasionally supporting the MCM in the delivery of member presentations

Collateral development/production
- Working with the MCM, deliver the communication programme, which will include letter production, tailoring literature, and preparing member presentations covering brand, product and investment information
- Prepare communications for ad hoc client projects
- Develop and produce member documentation such as member booklets, plan summaries and investment options;
- Pro-actively contribute to the creative development of the communication service

Governance
- Adhere to internal procedures including Compliance and peer review requirements at all times
- Approval of final versions of member documents following attainment of accreditation status
- Help to test and provide feedback to improve document preparation and the processes involved

**Skills**
- Planning and organising own workload in a systematic manner / high activity
- Strong project management skills
- Effective communicator / well developed communication skills, developing key relationships with internal stakeholders
- Presentation delivery
- Negotiation, influencing and contracting skills

**Knowledge & Experience**
- A solid understanding of Aegon background, products, systems and services with particular focus on Workplace
- Awareness of external legislation and regulatory influences on member communications
- Awareness of Aegon’s operating structure and key departments
- Ability to understand processes / procedures especially the need to consider scheme and member needs
- Experience with workplace clients
