**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Are you an experienced Head of Care, with the passion to make a difference?

Can you lead a team of people to deliver outstanding care to our residents, whilst encouraging them to always do their best?

As Head of Care, you’ll support the Home Manager with the management of the Home to ensure that the highest standards of care are delivered and maintained at all times. You’ll carry out initial assessments of potential residents, produce individual care plans and support both residents and their families through the process.

Leading a team of carers, you’ll be responsible for rota planning, employee recruitment and both induction and mandatory training, ensuring that the needs of our residents are recognised, assessed and met where possible. You’ll also monitor and manage individual employee performance to ensure standards are upheld, addressing any issues as they arise through the appropriate channels.

Situated off the High Street in the village of Purton is The Cedars care home, provides devoted and personalised respite and residential care to its 49 residents. The home is bright and charming, with each individual bed-sitting room having a view of the surrounding beautiful countryside or of the home’s much-loved garden.

**ABOUT YOU**

You’ll have previous management experience in elderly care with an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care and be willing to work towards Management Diploma Level 4 or 5 (or equivalent).

You’ll have excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and will be committed to promoting and developing the highest standards of care. You’ll be a positive role model with a natural ability to get along with others. A supportive leader, you’ll motivate your team to deliver the best possible care to our residents at all times.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £26,000.00 per year
