An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data and Cash Reconciliation Clerk to join the team at Joseph Holt. The role would also be suitable for a recent graduate who is looking to learn, develop and grow within an accounting and finance role.

**Who are we**:
Joseph Holt is an independent, six-generation family-owned company, with 128 pubs across the Northwest, ranging from traditional community pubs, food led destination pubs and some with onsite letting rooms. Since 1849 we have been brewing a wide range of award-winning beers in our Manchester brewery, which have won 5 Gold Medals at the International Brewing Awards in the last 12 years alone. Alongside this, we have an ever-expanding Free Trade and sell beer to multiple types of accounts across the country. We are a friendly, family run Brewer and Pub Company that are passionate about what we do and the people who work for us. For over 100 years, we have fundraised for the Christie Hospital and also support different charity appeals throughout the community.

**About The Role**

The role is to support the Office Manager in providing a professional and efficient finance function for our Public House Estate.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Input weekly takings and expenses information from our Estate’s business sheets.
- Balance large weekly banking reconciliation (income only - cash and card transactions).
- Follow up on missing banking/cash expenses.
- Adjust taking sheets for banking discrepancies.
- Consult with stock auditors and area managers to rectify any cash or expense issues.
- Produce various weekly and monthly reports.
- Reconcile various control accounts (managers bonds, house floats, etc)
- Issue and record food voucher books to pubs.
- Create monthly nominal journals.
- Strong and accurate PC skills.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft office, particularly Excel, with a working knowledge of pivot tables an advantage.
- Experience of bank reconciliation is advantageous but not essential.
- Detail-oriented and able to work with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent inter-personal, verbal and written communications skills and able to deal with colleagues at all levels of the business.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn and develop.
- Hard working, with a positive, can-do attitude.

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
