**Salary**: From £24,000 per annum negotiable depending on experience

Contract: FTC 9 months

Location: Hybrid - flexibility to work from home with some requirement to work from your hub office. Our main hubs are London, Bristol, Manchester and Milton Park - Oxfordshire

About the role:
The HR administrator role covers three levels from assistant to senior administrator, dependent on the level of skills and experience of the individual. It’s the starting point for our HR career pathway, providing an entry into HR and ongoing growth and continued career progression for the individual.

The HR administrator sits within the HR operations team and provides an efficient and effective administrative support service to the HR team and the wider organisation.

At Jisc we value in person meetings wherever possible, so a willingness and ability to travel across the UK will be necessary in this role (although you’d be welcome to come into our offices more often should you wish). Face to face meet ups allow for more creative collaboration, building relationships with wider business colleagues, and encourage team bonding.

Responsibilities will include:

- Triaging queries into the HR team
- Answering and resolving a range of HR queries relating to the employee lifecycle (depending on the complexity), responding in a timely manner, or escalating more complex queries to the relevant person for resolution
- Administration of our benefits
- Updating and maintaining our HR system and other online tools
- Coaching and supporting employees and managers to utilise the self-service elements of HR systems and intranet to resolve queries themselves
- Managing key HR projects

Key Skills and Experience:

- Practical experience working within a fast paced, and customer focussed administration environment within a HR function
- The ability to work appropriately with highly confidential information and issues
- Evidence of strong administrative and organisational skills
- Comfortable with using systems and Microsoft 365
- Good communication skills including the ability to work effectively with diverse client groups
- Excellent interpersonal and customer
- facing skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure whilst retaining a strong eye for detail
