Drive JD Sports Digital offering forward, ensuring that stock availability is maximised and the site is visually merchandised with content, navigation and user experience appropriate to the customer. Deputising for the Merchandising Manager with a good knowledge of Merchandising Manager responsibilities.

**Planning**:

- Be aware of the Buying and Retail marketing activity and assist in creating trading plans to drive online marketing activity to reflect the strategy.

**Trading**
- Create the weekly trading summary and daily progress updates
- Review previous week's performance and propose and agree actions for the week
- Review daily sales identifying areas of weakness, proposing and taking action to increase sales and ensuring optimal stock availability
- Monitor live sales to identify fast sellers on the day and act as required to maximise sales
- Identify underperforming lines and categories and propose actions to improve sell through
- Check all stock in the DC is available on all channels and take actions as required
- Propose stories and products to be promoted on the site and through social channels
- Review product attributes to ensure that site navigation, filters and collections are optimised
- Continually review merchandising of site searches, navigation and listings and proposing actions when required to maximise sales
- Review the new in list ensuring the site is representative of key products
- Check all marketing spots are being utilised to maximise sales whilst staying consistent with the store activity to maintain the brand identity
- Review top on site searches, action Fred Hopper rules to improve results and conversion
- Review store sales to identify opportunities for
- Work closely with the wider teams from Buying & Merchandising and Digital

**Teamwork**:

- Reports to the Digital Merchandising Manager
- Line manage junior members of the team
- Establish working relationships with divisional Buying & Merchandise teams, Digital and Marketing teams.
- Trains and develops Digital merchandising team members

**Key Deliverables**
- Assist the wider Digital teams to drive the marketing channels and deliver agreed sales targets.
- Build strong relationships with B&M team
- Identify opportunities
- Identify threats, and look to resolve
- Become expert in the use of online systems/tools: Fredhopper and Google Analytics

**Skills needed**:

- Excellent knowledge of excel
- Experience working with merchandiser software
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
- Commercial brand awareness
- Keen eye for detail
