I have an exciting opportunity for a Responsible Welding Coordinator to join a leading provider of assured weld engineering services and repair solutions for safety critical, rolling tock structures and components.

As a welding coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving quality assurance in all welding operations. you will be responsible for assisting with the specification, documentation, and verification of welding and associated NDT requirement. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that all welding activities within the business align with industry requirements, particularly BS EN 15085.

**Key responsibilities for this Responsible Welding Coordinator**:

- Assist with maintaining EN 15085 accreditation.
- Produce and maintain WPQR's, WPS's and instructions to enable new and existing projects.
- Qualify and train welders for new projects and maintain their qualifications by prolongation.
- Assist with the supervision and coordination of welding activities on and off-site.
- Assist with selecting suitable processes, tools, equipment, and technologies to develop welding activities.
- Provide support to operations and the engineering department regarding welding and NDT matters.

**Experience required for this Responsible Welding Coordinator**:

- Must have a minimum of a HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
- European/international welding technologist or be in the process of completing your qualification.
- Practical experience in MIG/MAG, MMA and TIG welding.
- Experience in n RWC/DRWC/Weld Engineer role.
- A good understanding of non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques such as magnetic particle inspection (MPI), dye penetrant inspection (DPI), and ultrasonic testing (UT), as well as their limitations.
- Experience with mild steel, aluminium, stainless steel, and cast steel - advantageous.
