Outreach Administrator

The General Medical Council (GMC) helps to protect patients and improve medical education and practice in the UK by setting standards for students and doctors. We support them in achieving (and exceeding) those standards and take action when they are not met.

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Outreach Development and Support Unit (ODSU) on a 14 month fixed term contact, in a unique role providing administrative support for our Welcome to UK practice (WtUKP) workshops.

You’ll work closely with a small, passionate Central Operations team who are proud of the work we do.

Summary of the role

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Planning and preparing for both virtual and in-person workshops
- Responding to queries from workshop delegates and facilitators
- Collating attendance and evaluation data
- Provide end to end administrative support
- Act as the direct point of contact for doctors attending _Welcome to UK practice_ workshops

What we want from you
- You will be expected to build your understanding of the purpose and impact of WtUKP while embracing a culture of continuous improvement
- You'll be encouraged to share your ideas on how we can improve and evolve the way we work
- Someone who is organised and a great communicator

We are happy to support a range of flexible working options. Flexible working requests will be considered in line with the policy.

The GMC values diversity and has made a public commitment to processes and procedures that are fair, objective, transparent and free from discrimination.

We have also committed to the Disability Confident employer scheme and support the requirements of the Disability Confident interview scheme. If you have a disability and meet the essential criteria for this role as outlined in the person specification document, you will be offered an interview.

In return, you’ll benefit from being part of an organisation that is genuinely committed to its people. Within our friendly environment, you will have access to a range of learning and development opportunities designed to support your ongoing progression. We offer an attractive salary and benefits package. To find out more please click here.

This is a hybrid role between home working and office working, you’ll work approximately 2-3 days per month in our Manchester office, or more if you prefer. We may ask you to attend the office on additional days where necessary, for example, to attend team meetings or support induction.

The GMC is a charity registered in England and Wales (1089278) and Scotland (SC037750)
