**Job overview**:
An exciting opportunity for a ward administrator to join a new team on ward 513, based at the Queen Elizabeth hospital only. We are a small, friendly dynamic team who welcome everyone.

You will have good administrative and IT skills, and experience of working with various IT systems and databases and be able to develop processes to strengthen the service and improve the patient experience. Previous administrative experience is essential, ideally within a hospital/healthcare environment.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
To provide support to the ward / department manager so that effective, efficient administrative service is provided for the ward.

To contribute to the efficient management of the ward environment in order to enhance the experience for patients in the hospital by supporting the ward manager in terms of audits, duty rosters, appraisal, sickness management and all other administrative duties essential to the smooth running of the ward.

To contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of teams in which you work. To maintain confidentiality at all times. To have good working relations with the MDT and remain professional at all times.

To be an effective member of a multidisciplinary team under the direction and supervision of the Ward clerk Team leader.

- Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment
