As a Young Person Support Worker, your primary focus is to encourage young individuals to embrace education, particularly those who may be disengaged from school life. This role presents a remarkable opportunity for someone eager to make a difference in the lives of young people from diverse backgrounds, including those who have faced major trauma.
**Key Aspects of the Role**:
- Offer guidance and support in the classroom and community.
- Liaise closely with parents/carers for a cohesive approach to each student's learning journey.
- Working hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only.
- Potential for the role to transition into a permanent position after a qualifying period.
**Requirements for Success**:
To thrive as a Young Person Support Worker, you should:
- Demonstrate resilience and a focus on the best interests of the supported pupils.
- Showcase empathy, understanding, non-judgmental, and open-minded attributes.
- Possess a passion for positively changing young people's lives.
- Understand the challenges of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties faced by children and young people.
- Previous experience is not mandatory; transferrable skills from personal and professional life are valued.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
