The Whisky Auctioneer Group specialises in auctioning whisky, rum and wine whether it be fine, old, rare, collectable or affordable.  Formed in 2013 and based in Perth, central Scotland, our websites aim to be the most comprehensive websites available for the buying and selling of whisky, rum and wine.  Our exciting and fast-growing company launched in 2013 with Whisky Auctioneer then Wine Auctioneer and Rum Auctioneer followed in 2017 and 2019 respectively.

Recent developments within the Group have seen us creating an EU presence in Germany to allow expansion of European business through a new German Group legal entity.

Together our Group companies aim to be the global market leaders and trusted authorities on the buying and selling of whisky and spirits at auction. We are building a team to support our strategic aims of making the market more accessible to all and sharing our passion for connecting these bottles to our customers.

**The Role**

The newly created role of HR Administrator will report to the HR & Compliance Manager. The HR department plays a key role in the overall success and growth of the business and with our ambitious plans for the future, there’s no better time to become part of the team. Our head office is based in Perth however, this role will be able to accommodate hybrid working arrangements.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Creating, monitoring and maintaining the records held in our HR software
- General HR administration including administering employee benefits, sickness and absence
- Coordinating the onboarding process for new starts ensuring we have all the relevant paperwork and right to work documentation
- Assist with employee lifecycle administration including leavers
- Preparing HR documents
- Support with formal meetings for various employee relations cases
- Support with HR related projects as and when required
- Working in conjunction with department managers
- Payroll/Finance_
- Being the point of contact with our 3rd party payroll service and responding to all payroll, pension and benefit queries
- Checking and uploading all payroll data monthly
- Working closely with our Finance team to handle and process people-related Invoices.

**Person Specification**

We’re looking for a team player with a positive attitude. An enthusiastic and passionate people focused individual with an eye for detail and who fully understands the importance of confidentiality. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills are essential, and you’ll also bring the ability to work at pace and with agility.

**Skills & Experience**

**Essential**
- Experience in working with digital platforms and tools e.g. Microsoft packages and SharePoint
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong administrative skills
- The ability to work well in a team

**Desirable**
- Previous HR experience
- Experience of using a HR system
- Experience with a 3rd party outsourced payroll service and / or inhouse payroll administration experience
- Experience in working across different regions

**Training and Qualifications**

**Desirable**
- Relevant degree, qualification or education or equivalent experience
- CIPD Certificate/Diploma or willingness to work towards one of these

**Additional Info, Salary and Benefits **

This is a permanent, part-time post. We are offering a starting salary of £22,000 (FTE). A Group Bonus Scheme exists based on trading performance.

Our office hours are 08:45 to 17:15, Monday to Friday. Flexible working is available.

Staff have the opportunity for training (e.g, WSET) and attending industry events and festivals. We offer an enhanced maternity/paternity package, health insurance, death in service, childcare payments for under 3s, increased annual leave allowance after 3 years of service and a workplace pension. Support for any professional training requirements will be considered.
