FINTEC recruit is seeking a **Project Database Administrator** for a temporary 3 to 4 month duration based in Edinburgh. This is setting up a new Excel database which will provide quantitative analysis and trends; providing up-to-date construction industry costings data for future projects. Salary is negotiable by experience, working Monday to Friday 37 hours per week. Flexible working arrangements available.

**Responsibilities**:

- To set up an Excel-driven database providing a single source of data and information supporting cost estimations for tendering projects.
- Input pricing elements from competed tenders
- Ultimately providing from this input, quantitative analysis such as forward trending with Excel’s TREND function for linear trending or exponential growth in supporting project management.
- Create a database to collect returned priced tenders of Bill of Quantities (BoQ) for refurbishment and redecoration projects
- Data to be entered via a standard BoQ format, allowing project teams to update priced bill items from returned tenders on a rolling project-by-project basis.
- Write a procedure for maintaining and data input
- Output tailored BoQ, allowing for items to be selected and average, mean or median cost calculated

**Skills and experience required for the Excel Database Administrator**
- Proficiency or Advanced Excel skills in setting up a database for project outputs
- Eye for detail in extracting and inputing information, tailoring to reach expected outcomes
- Experience/knowledge of ‘V Look up tables’ an advantage
- Use of Excel TREND function

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 4 months

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
