**Change Implementation Leader - (Inside IR35)**

**Contract Term: 12 months possible extension**

**Contracting Authority: UKRI**

**Location: Hybrid - 2 days a week in the Swindon office, occasional visits to London / Remote Working**

UKRI has significant programmes of work underway to optimise the way we do business, including replacing both our current enterprise & resource planning (ERP) and grants systems. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the growth and improvement of UKRI through fully coordinated people, process, and technology change initiatives. You will ensure existing change initiatives across people, operations and technology are delivered through to, and aligned with, future BAU operations and design and shape future change activity to continue UKRI’s development.
- ** Leadership and Oversight**: Lead the team providing coordination and integration for local and distributed change activity, ensuring that changes are delivered to plan and expected outcomes are realised, that align with the overall strategic aims of the organisation. Lead and maintain visibility of the interdependencies, project plans, assumptions, risks and issues with regards to the change initiatives and their delivery
- ** People-led integration by design**: Develop strategies and actions to manage the human aspects of change within the organisation, aiming to shift attitudes, behaviours, and skills. Drive integration by design principles across initiatives, ensuring seamless connectivity, optimisation and interoperability between people, processes and systems.
- ** Communications**: Develop plans for ensuring effective communication across the organisation during the change process. Develop and maintain influential relationships and credibility with senior leaders across UKRI,
- ** Governance and Standards**: Develop and ensure adherence to clear and organisational wide principles and standards for delivery, evaluating the necessary trade-offs between Efficiency and flexibility in the day-to-day vs maintaining visibility and control; Integration vs autonomy and associated authority limits; Pace vs risk management and traditional structures vs flexible and agile teams
- ** Resource Management** and Spend Optimisation: Ensure the sustainability and efficiency of delivery by effectively managing programme related funding and resources, resourcing change projects across the organisation and potentially helping to procure short-term resources as and when additional capacity is required to deliver change activities. Operating effective management of all associated tasks delivered from other functions required to deliver change initiatives (includes finance, HR, communications, IT)
- ** Fit for Service Assessment**: Own fit-for-BAU operations criteria and readiness assessments for change initiatives and develop tools to gather feedback and evaluate the effectiveness of the development initiatives.

**Essential Skills**
- Proven track record in the delivery of business change across a large programme
- Experience across the financial piece including budgets with a commercial awareness
- Communication skills
- Stakeholder engagement at a senior level which would include governance boards
- Reporting experience
- Strong self starter

**Desirable Skills**
- Experience in grant funding would be highly beneficial
- A background in research and academia would be highly beneficial
