Job title: Business Change and Communications Professional

What you’ll be doing:

- You will be responsible for leading and coordinating site communications as well as leading the Engineering aspects of this new and exciting large-scale transformation in developing the Digital Thread
- Assisting the development of the strategy and plan around the business change, including how we will effectively manage all stakeholders and communicate
- Providing professional communications advice and counsel, to help influence the delivery of the significant business change and new ways of working
- Coordinating the delivery of major change and digital thread communications initiatives across the business, not just within Engineering
- Working with other parts of the business to proactively identify opportunities to inform employees on this business change and the impact it will have on their ways of working
- Develop and track analytics in support of functional and business objectives
- Supporting a safe working environment and promote SHE initiatives
- Working as part of a small Engineering Business Change and Communications team

Your skills and experiences:
Essential:

- Degree (or equivalent) and/or relevant professional certificate or equivalent experience (Project Management)
- Experience of having worked in an internal communication role
- In-depth knowledge of modern communications tactics, media, procedures, and concepts
- Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders with a strong customer focus and the ability to communicate with people at all levels effectively
- Expert knowledge and experience of core business change and communications principles, techniques and skills

Reporting to the NXGenDigital business change and communications manager of Submarines UK, you will be responsible for leading and delivering an Engineering communications strategy for our employees, in direct support of the company’s strategic priority of delivering a Digital Thread for our newest and future Submarine Programmes.
