**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job Title**: Community Fundraiser

**Hours**: 21 hours a week

**Pay**:£12,809.16 per annum

**Responsible to**: Service Manager

**THE PRIMARY PURPOSE**
- To organise fundraising activities and events on behalf of the charity.

**MAIN TASKS**
- Arrange street and store collections, coffee mornings and other fundraising collections within the community.
- Plan and implement a variety of different fundraising events in the community.
- Organise the sorting of collected monies in preparation for banking.
- Maintain a database of collection boxes and organise the placement and emptying of permanently sited collection boxes.
- Organise raffles and the sale of tickets.
- Complete correspondences with donors, as required.
- Promote small change collection boxes.
- Fundraise from corporate sponsorship.
- Support a team of fundraising volunteers.
- Recruit new volunteers for the benefit of the whole charity.
- Attend monthly supervision sessions to discuss progress with fundraising.
- Undertake any other tasks as may be reasonably required.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**Essential**
- Excellent people skills with experience of working with volunteers.
- Excellent organisational skills and an ability to maintain accurate records, excellent attention to detail with an ability to work both on your own and in a team.
- Unrestricted use of a car and a full clean driving licence.

**Desirable**
- Knowledge of Visual impairments
- Professional fundraising qualification

- Weekend availability
