**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Operations to join our team. As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's operations to ensure efficiency and productivity. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to drive results.

**Job description and Person Profile**

The Associate Director role within the Group will report into the Operations Director.

There are no statutory director responsibilities with this role however it is pivotal to the business in ensuring that working practices are carried out in a compliant, legal and morally correct manner.

Associate Directors will support the Board of Directors and non-statuary directors with the achievement of the strategic business plan by organising and aligning Senior Managers’ key objectives and deliverables with the strategic aims.

**Accountabilities**
- Responsible for operational delivery of all Group cleaning services, including our Joint Venture cleaning businesses, education and business sector cleaning and large multi sector key account cleaning.
- Specialist services such as specialist/hazardous cleaning and washroom and environmental services will also be included within this role’s responsibilities.
- Champion the company’s People Strategy and Health, Safety and Wellbeing strategy ensuring that Senior Managers goals and objectives are aligned to the achievement of the strategic aims.
- Responsible for annual budgets of £30m plus, with service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Leads a team of Heads of Service managers responsible for a collective total cleaning team of 2500+ colleagues.
- Experience of commercial contracts and specifications required, with an understanding of contract content and definitions to help manage service vs customer contractual requirements.
- Have experience of senior stakeholder expectations and demands as projects and cleaning portfolio grows over the years. Will be able to talk at the most senior level and manage challenging negotiations and contractual arrangements.
- Able to concisely and passionately present updates and business plans to board and senior leadership audiences as needed.
- An ability and passionate approach to delivering a consistent, innovative and best in class cleaning service across many different sectors via engaging with, and visionary leadership of, senior leaders and wider teams.
- Experience in working with Sales teams to grow business, price new cleaning opportunities, represent the business during client presentations and mobilise large successful ‘win’ contracts nationally.
- Experience in people performance improvement, disciplinary processes and of TUPE requirements necessary.
- Experience in other FM services beneficial, due to cross working requirements with other FM services in the business.
- A customer first approach required, and experience in holding key customer reviews, supporting the creation of management Information packs and delivering to contractual KPI’s and service expectations.
- Must have been involved with union agreements that determine pay and conditions as well as helping set the service requirements for the workforce.
- Leading Senior Managers within the business to promote and engage a productive workforce and support with cultural development across the Group.
- Handle escalations professionally and in accordance with compliance protocols and upon risk assessment appropriately feed into Board of Directors.
- Ensure Senior Managers and the workforce are operating in accordance with the company policies and processes and lead by example at all times.
- Champion company KPI’s and initiatives, such as Colleague Survey, Client Survey, Innovation, HSQE Audits, cleaning audits and site visits, etc.
- Lead on, and encourage others to seek, continuous improvement opportunities to ensure the company’s working practices remain agile, competitive, and innovative.
- Support and raise the profile of charitable activity within the Group
- It would be advantageous to have an ILM Level 6 or above, or equivalent qualification.
- National travel will be required as part of this role
