Experienced Architectural Technical Coordinator required to join a luxury Housing Developer near Wakefield who specialise in delivering high quality new build housing projects across the Yorkshire region.

Our client are a family owned SME local home builder specialising in luxury family homes with innovation & creative design at the forefront of what their mission is, to create outstanding living spaces using the highest quality materials and fittings, a home you would wany to make your own home

Their in-house technical team is growing and they are looking for a seasoned Technical Coordinator to report to the Architectural Manager and really hit the ground running.

Purpose of the position

To assist in the management of all External Consultants to the Technical Team in the production of drawings for the design and construction of site developments, based on an internal brief from the management Team, to be negotiated with and submitted to the appropriate Authorities for speedy and satisfactory approvals in order to unlock and maximise development potential, and provide an architectural drawing and technical information service and support, to obtain, check and distribute information to other in-house teams and to assist construction.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of Technical reports for Land Appraisals, with supervision.
- Provide technical support and information to Construction, Commercial and Sales departments and maintain good communication to ensure the required level of service is maintained.
- Assist the Technical Manager in fee negotiation and the appointment of consultants.
- Coordinate the submission of Planning & Building Regulation Applications and obtain planning permissions and other statutory approvals.
- Prepare/Co-ordinate Sales and Legal information e.g. Conveyance plans, sales area layout drawings and M colours.
- Assist the in the production of pre-tender health & safety plans.
- At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.
- Implement new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of both improving
- Obtain, check and co-ordinate information from external architectural consultants, and suppliers and manufacturers for supplementing working drawings.
- As required, from time to time, produce designs for layouts, house designs etc.
- Miscellaneous approvals such as foot path closures, sales signage etc.

Technical Coordinators with the following experience will be considered
- At least 5 years experience in an Architectural Practice or house building / developer role.
- Previous experience of the new build residential sector.
- Excellent technical knowledge and a thorough understanding of standard details / building regulations, site plans, coordinates.
- Qualified to HNC / Degree level.
- Excellent technical capabilities and the ability to produce detailed construction drawing packages.
- Must have UK based work experience and a through understanding of UK building regulations.

Salary depending on experience £30,000 - £35,000 per annum plus £4,000 car allowance, 25 days holiday, pension and non-discretionary bonus scheme.
