North Tyneside Learning Disability Services are expanding are we opening a number of new services across the region. So, we are offering amazing job opportunity for you to come and join our most fabulously awesome team as a Supported Living Coordinator. Join us and help to support our brilliant customers with learning disabilities.

We help our customers live independently with support from our fantastic team who help customers to cook, clean their home and access the community when needed and live independently. Each of our customers have a person-centered LIFE aspiration plan where we support them all daily to achieve their goals. This can be doing anything from keeping their home clean and tidy to booking a dream holiday. There will be personal care support at this service as well.

We help change our customer’s lives for the better. As a Supported Living Coordinator, you’ll play your part by assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans, and their needs and aspirations.

You’ll work with our Senior Support Workers and external agencies to assess and engage support for our customers. We empower our customers to develop the independent living skills they need, to successfully move on. Together we’ll make a difference

**About you**

You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.

You’ll also have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.

To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe)

- When you join as a Supported Living Coordinator, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one._

**Where and when you’ll do your job**

Our services and opportunities will be discussed at interview and you’ll be able to identify your preferences on locations.

You’ll work on a rota basis between the hours of 8am and 8pm, 7 days per week and you take your turn working days, weekends and bank holidays.

We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you

**About our team**

You’ll work alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us we’re not just a team we’re a ‘work family’.

Our Registered Manager is Kelly who oversees all North Tyneside Learning Disability Services. She has worked for Home Group for 23 years and is a fountain of Home Group knowledge, so is perfectly placed to support you as you join.

Cedartree’s Manager is Tracy who has worked for Home Group for 7 years and is a great mentor and supportive manager. We also have Laura who is managing Cauldwell Avenue. We’ll have services in North Shields too as well as the new services in Forrest Hall and Shiremoor.

You will be part of an extended team across North Tyneside as Home Group have other Learning Disability Services in the area as well have the development of new ones.
