Working closely with and supporting the Deputy Director of Quality:
- Support with the production and delivery of the Quality Strategy.
- Support the development of a comprehensive quality plan, quality governance and quality framework that aligns to meet regulatory requirements.
- Support any quality assurance programs, policies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead the development and production of the annual Quality Account as required by current legislation and support the organisation with the changes as a new approach is developed across the Integrated Care System.
- Monitor and analyse quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement and developing further the Quality and Performance Report (QPR).
- Prepare quality reports for a broad audience.
- Support with the administration and set up of the Quality Delivery Group.
- Work closely with the Lead Nurse for Regulation and Accreditation leading the preparation for external regulatory inspections.
- At site and Divisional level, build learning feedback loops into governance process.
- Proactively using insight, data, information from patient incidents, audits, safeguarding reviews, inquests, patient feedback, PALS, complaints and compliments to inform continuous improvement approaches

to develop our Quality Priorities.
- Undertake deep dive reviews into areas that are emerging risks and support Quality Summits ensuring that robust action plans are developed, implemented and monitored.
- To have excellent budgetary knowledge.
- To use evidence based best practice in the development of quality priorities.
- To develop a programme approach for Pathway to Excellence and Magnet4Europe research, developing and maintaining project/ programme documents, associated plans, monitoring progress and resources.
- To be able to write reports (board level).
- To have extensive knowledge and understanding of the key principles of quality and patient experience including national guidance and local context.
- To be committed to proactively working and engaging constructively with internal and external stakeholders on a range of quality issues.
- To have knowledge, understanding and experience of using coaching methodologies, to support colleagues with quality improvement
- To be able to build credibility and nurture key working relationships within networks internally and externally.
- To have extensive knowledge and understanding of the key principles of quality improvement methodologies.
- To be able to prioritise and organise own workload with varying and unpredictable demands, working without supervision.

In summary we are looking for someone with these leadership, management and team working skills
- To deputise for the Deputy Director of Quality across the quality portfolio which includes patient experience improvement, quality assurance/ compliance, delivery and management of regulatory standards and CQC core service inspections.
- To lead the teams in the delivery of project plans, allocating tasks as appropriate, identifying risks, issues and dependencies, considering best practice and current options and ultimately making decisions in the best interest of the projects/programmes.
- To manage and provide guidance, support and coaching to colleagues across the Trust in order to promote and enable effective change management and strengthen leadership skills.
- To act as a visible role model for colleagues across the Trust, promoting and demonstrating the standards of care and behaviour expected.
- To work closely with the Corporate Senior Nursing, Midwifery and AHP Teams and Divisional Teams to support the delivery of quality improvement.
- To forge successful relationships with other healthcare professionals and non -clinical support staff to improve the overall experience.
- To use highly developed leadership and influencing skills to enthuse, motivate and involve individual teams.
- To ensure all communication, which may be complex, contentious or sensitive, is undertaken in responsive and inclusive manner, focusing on improvement and ways to move forward.
- To adhere to the standards laid down in the NHS Code of Conduct for Managers and NHS Constitution and always act in a manner that reflects and promotes the values of the Trust, including leading with compassion.
